5 Benefits of Drinking Water

Everyone knows they should be drinking water, sipping all day is the best way to get the amount of water you need. Here are some reasons why you should be drinking your eight glasses a day!

1. Weight loss: Not only should replacing your sugar filled drinks (sodas & juices)  help you cut calories but water is shown to help as an appetite suppressant. * Sometimes when we think we are hungry it is just our bodies needing some water! Drink up.

2. Headache Cure: Dehydration can lead to headaches, set an alarm on your phone to help you remember to drink throughout the day.

3. Energy: Dehydration can also cause fatigue! Don't wait until you are thirsty to drink at that point you are already dehydrated. Buy a pretty water bottle to help encourage yourself to bring it wherever you go.

4. Helps Digestion: Drink a glass of water every meal to help your body digest all those good things you put into your body today!

5. Beautiful Skin: Being well hydrated contributes to clear skin! We all want flawless skin and water can help. There are a lot of apps to help you track the amount you are drinking. I have a simple rule where I need to fill my water bottle 3 times in a day.

Top 4 Tips About Self Acceptance

1. Realize that you are a work in progress. Try not to focus on perfection, it is unattainable and can make you feel dissatisfied when you never get there. Shift your focus to lifelong growth! We are all works in progress, we all evolve and are never finished. Challenges and setbacks are there to help you grow, when we view them as such, they don't seem so bad.

2. Accept where you are right now. Most of us look outward for acceptance when we should be looking to our selves. When people ask me where my confidence comes from, I often tell them it is because I truly try not to care what other people think. I do what makes me happy and what I feel I need to in order to grow and become the person I want to be.

3. Be Calm. Bringing some quiet and stillness into your life can help you see what is truly important in life. This silence also makes us spend time with only our thoughts. You will be surprised at the thoughts that come to you while trying not to think. If you find most of your thoughts are negative, this is the time and space to correct those. Take a breath and try to re-word the thought to something positive or simply counteract the thought with something you love about yourself. You can try meditation or yoga to help you with this process.

4. Take a look in the mirror. Often our judgments of others are simply our own personal insecurities. Try and attain why the judgment came to be. What was it that offended you so? Try and change the narrative, our inner voice is so strong and has a huge impact on how we see each other. by recognizing what we see in others we can correct our judgments to not only being more compassionate to other but to ourselves as well.

You are enough!
